About Stride
What is Stride?
Stride is a free, personalised running training plan generator. Whether you're training for a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or marathon, Stride creates a week-by-week plan tailored to your current fitness, weekly mileage, and target race time.
How it works
Plans are built using established coaching methodology from Jack Daniels' Running Formula. Your training paces are calculated from your current fitness using the VDOT system, and progress automatically as your fitness improves through the plan.
Each plan includes a structured progression through build, peak, and taper phases, with appropriate recovery weeks and a mix of easy runs, long runs, and quality sessions like intervals, tempo runs, and hill workouts.
Strava integration
Connect your Strava account to automatically log completed runs against your plan. When you finish a run, Stride matches it to the corresponding session in your training plan, so you can track your progress without manual logging.
No account required
You can generate and use a training plan without creating an account. Plans are stored in your browser by default. If you create an account, your plans are saved to the cloud so you can access them from any device.
