Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Stride ("the Service"), available at https://www.stride-training.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
Description of Service
Stride is a web application that generates personalised running training plans. Users can input their race goal (5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon), current fitness level, and target time to receive a structured training plan with daily workouts, pacing guidance, and progression logic.
The Service may also allow you to save plans to an account, track workout completion, and optionally sync activity data from third-party services such as Strava.
User Accounts
To access certain features, you may create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your account details up to date.
You must notify us promptly at support@stride-training.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
User Responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems
- Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Not use the Service to transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the Service
Health and Fitness Disclaimer
The training plans generated by Stride are advisory only and do not constitute medical advice. You should consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise programme, particularly if you have pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns about your fitness to train.
You are solely responsible for your own health and safety while following any training plan. Stride does not guarantee any specific fitness outcomes, race performance, or injury prevention.
Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services, including Strava. Your use of such integrations is also subject to the third party's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services.
If you connect your Strava account, you authorise us to access activity data within the scopes you grant. You can revoke this access at any time through your profile settings or via Strava's settings page.
Third-Party Services Disclaimer
Third-party service providers, including but not limited to Strava, are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- We disclaim all warranties on behalf of third-party service providers, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Third-party service providers shall not be liable for any consequential, special, punitive, or indirect damages arising from your use of their services through Stride, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data obtained from third-party services, including activity data synced from Strava.
Your use of third-party services is subject to those providers' own terms of service and privacy policies. We encourage you to review those terms directly.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Training plans generated for you are yours to use personally, but the underlying algorithms, logic, and presentation remain our intellectual property.
Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stride and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (if any).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from Service downtime.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you breach these terms or use the Service in a manner we consider harmful.
On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes in advance.
